Beijing International Studies University (BISU), founded under the care of former Premier Minister ZHOU in 1964, is the first admission group of national higher education universities and institutes.

The Overseas Study centre is directly under Beijing International Studies University (BISU) and is the only sub-division authorized by the University to provide the training course for social needs. The centre is also in the first group of institutions which were approved by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China as legal overseas study consultancies. (The number of the license is Jiao Wai Zong Zi Ren Zi No. [2000] 153.) The centre has sent hundreds of Chinese students to famous colleges and universities in many countries, such as UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and France, meanwhile, thousands of students have graduated from the intensive English training course held by the centre.
