Sandwich Year Out (SYO)

 

From 2007/08 all SYO will be charged 50% of the full fee, with the exception of Design where SYO will be charged at 75% over the two year placement period i.e. in years 2 and 3 where students receive 1 semester of teaching in each of these years.

Implementation

 

Unlike the previous 2 years, new entrants in 2007 should revert to having fee increases in subsequent years as the process of repositioning is almost done and fees will not rise by such significant amounts in the future. Early payment discounts should remain for new entrants.
